From Forest to Floor: Crafting Excellence Under One Roof

At Monte Grappa, each floorboard begins its journey under the careful guidance of experienced craftsmen with over 20 years in the industry. Our entire manufacturing process, from sawmill to the final surface, takes place under one roof. This ensures consistency, precision, and a premium finish that distinguishes us in the Australian market.

This vertical integration gives designers, architects and builders greater control over each project — from flooring finishes to bespoke staircases, feature walls and custom details. The result is a flexible timber solution suited to high-spec residential and commercial interiors.

Our Sawmill: Rooted in Nature, Driven by Craft

Situated in a natural environment, our sawmill is home to two specialized workshops and a team of over 30 dedicated professionals. These seasoned artisans mentor the next generation of timber specialists. We source logs from sustainably managed European forests, carefully selecting only the finest oak right from the source. This meticulous approach ensures a consistent supply of premium-grade timber, enabling us to meet project deadlines without compromise.

  • Our Kiln: Slow-Cured Stability

After being naturally air-dried for up to six months, our oak is then placed in a kiln. This slow, low-temperature treatment enhances its structural integrity. As a result of this careful process, the flooring becomes stable, resilient, and well-suited to withstand Australian conditions.
